The proposal offers a fully automated method for calculating e-tight lower bounds on adversarial profitability, making it possible to quantify how much an attacker who optimizes their behavior against protocol randomness could earn. Furthermore, the work identifies relevant future research directions, including the analysis of upper bounds to limit the attacker's advantage and the relaxation of modeling assumptions so that the results are applicable to more realistic environments.
The practical implications are clear: having a tool that generates automated e-tight bounds helps blockchain developers and auditors evaluate the robustness of their protocols against strategic mining strategies.
