From April 9 to 12, 2025, Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW) returns to Decentraland as the flagship digital fashion event, solidifying itself as an innovative stage where technology, fashion, and global identity converge. Under the theme Infinite Identities, more than 47 designers and brands from around the world will present collections exploring limitless creativity, activism, and cultural expression within digital spaces.
This year, the event takes place in Decentraland 2.0, a completely redesigned platform offering enhanced visual experiences, greater interactivity, and accessibility, creating an even more immersive atmosphere for users and creators. These new features were developed during the event's pause period to enhance the connection between attendees and the virtual fashion universe.
MVFW 2025 arrives at a key moment for the fashion industry, where traditional luxury sales are declining and consumer preferences are evolving toward more meaningful experiences. Digital fashion positions itself as a vibrant and relevant response to these changes, transforming runways into spaces for cultural dialogue.
In this edition, attendees will be able to witness interactive shows and avant-garde animations that reimagine traditional runways. Brands such as Cyberdog, Free The Youth, and the winning collections of The Banners We Wear contest, with a prize pool of $15,000, will use fashion to tell powerful stories about identity, diversity, and resistance.
One of the event's most notable components is the 16 interactive showrooms divided into two thematic zones: Augmented Self and Storied Self, where the public can explore digital fashion from two complementary perspectives. Augmented Self merges artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and phygital fashion, while Storied Self focuses on cultural narrative, including adaptive designs for prosthetics, mycelium-inspired fashion, and collections with deep-rooted values in the identity of global communities.
In addition to shows and exhibitions, MVFW 2025 offers immersive installations such as Cansy's Entangled Q, which explores fluid identities, and The Immersive KIND's OFF-WORLD Galactic Expansion, combining artificial intelligence, robotics, and interstellar aesthetics. Panels with international experts will also be held on topics such as the role of avatars in digital self-expression, AI-driven creativity, wearable technology in video games, and hybrid retail experiences.
